PRECISION SHOOTING FOR HUNTERS
Hunt Ready and Burton Tactical Ltd have teamed up to bring you this 2 day precision shooting for hunters course.
Day 1 (6-8 hrs) will consist of classroom theory covering such topics as:
· Firearms and Range Safety
· Rifle/Optics set up
· Basic ballistics and creating “Range cards” (Ballistics software)
· Intro to terminal ballistics (kinetic energy, shooting angles)
· Basic’s of wind (How to read and account for it)
· Packing your pack (Using your pack as a rest/used on day 2)
Day 2 (8 hrs) will consist of a full day of “Range Time”. Putting the pieces of day 1 to use and applying them down range.
Day 2 takes place on the range, outside. Appropriate attire for all weather conditions is the responsibility of each participant.
· Firearms and Range Safety
· Prone shooting position (used for sighting in)
· How to properly sight in your rifle (100y/m, 200y/m techniques)
· Marksmanship fundamentals
· Positional shooting & various techniques for field position
· Basics of wind (How to read and account for it)
· Basics of Team/Partner spotting and shooting
