What is “Hunt Ready”
Hunt Ready is a premier hunter education and outdoor pursuits program. When you take 1 Hunt Ready course you’re getting as many as 7 different courses. In any Hunt Ready course you will….Learn how to maintain and do field repairs on your bow and rifle. You will learn the “Science of optics”. An in depth look at what optics are, what they do, how they work, and how to properly mount, bore sight and zero your scope, all taught by Leupold trained facilitators. You will learn the “how to’s” of calling elk. When available this segment if taught by Canada’s top professional Elk caller and World Elk Calling Championship competitor and 3rd place winner Travis O’Shea. Professional taxidermists will guide you through how to effectively prepare and pack your quarry to preserve your trophy cape and antlers . Skinning, quartering and deboning are done on real carcasses where available. Our team of Bear experts from the Crowsnest Pass Bear Smart Association will guide and prepare you for your next adventure in the Bear woods. You will learn how and when to properly use bear spray. Identify the difference between a sighting and an encounter, and what every hunter “must” know about Bear habits, habitat, food sources, activity and behavior. You will have the opportunity to use inert Bear spray on a simulated Bear target.
Hunt Ready programs are not like any other Hunter Education program available. Our programs are taught where we hunt, outdoors, where the action is.
